WHO IT IS FOR
Internal investigation teams, analysts, security professionals and anyone working with complex case records.
Define the question and the period under review. A useful chart distinguishes who was involved, what happened and where that information came from.
Place interviews, access records, communications and movements on a common timeline. Retain original timestamps and document any corrections.
Connect each statement to its source. A news report repeating a witness account is not a second independent confirmation. Seek information that could challenge the initial hypothesis.
A PRACTICE CASE
A witness places someone inside a building before a fire. Access records appear to contradict the account, but the access clock was seventeen minutes slow. The investigation compares corrected timestamps, an amended statement and the origin of news reports repeating the first account. The result is a documented sequence and unresolved questions, rather than an automatic attribution of responsibility.
Requires corroboration
Documented correction
Dependent source
Find the original clock record and compare the amended statement with an independent document.
YAPPARI ONE
Yappari One supports relationship charts, timelines, locations and linked documents. Case views help explain a sequence while preserving the distinction between a documented event and a hypothesis.
Investigators remain responsible for assessing evidence and drawing conclusions. The chart records the reasoning and the questions still open.
